Frauscher

Rail Signaling Systems

The joint venture company by Frauscher India and Hitachi Japan supports Hitachi’s mainline railway projects in India as well as throughout the Asian railway market.

FRAUSCHER RAIL SIGNALLING SYSTEMS

Frauscher Rail Signalling Systems has been founded in 2015 by Frauscher India and Hitachi Japan. The joint venture company will be engaged in manufacturing, assembling and testing axle counters and further signalling components in order to support Hitachi’s mainline railway projects in India as well as throughout the Asian railway market. Based on sound knowledge of experts from both participating companies, Frauscher Rail Signalling Systems will also provide comprehensive after sales services and a dedicated long term maintenance support.

The majority owner of Frauscher Rail Signalling Systems with a controlling interest in the joint venture company is Frauscher India, whereas Hitachi holds a minority stake. This ownership structure guarantees that Frauscher India, which is a 100% owned subsidiary of the Austrian-based Frauscher Sensortechnik GmbH, remains a completely independent company within the Frauscher Group.

The joint venture company is already executing the STP5 project, a part of the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) through India's biggest industrial hub between Delhi and Mumbai. This will cover the 915 km distance between Rewari, Haryana and Vadodara, Gujarat. As a supplier, Frauscher Rail Signalling Systems will contribute to the project’s infrastructure by delivering and customizing its latest axle counter generation, the Frauscher Advanced Counter FAdC.
